Sis. Annie Lou 'Porter' McNeal was born April 30, 1938 to the late James and Louise Abner
Porter, Sr. She was called home to be with the 'Lord' early Tuesday morning, December 6, 2022 at The Hospice House in Manatee County.
In 1956, she married Charles McNeal, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 25, 2015. They were married for over 59 years. To this union, eight children were born.
Sis. Annie Lou was educated in the schools of Manatee County. She worked for over 35 years for a private family. Sis. Annie L. McNeal was a member of St. Stephens A.M.E. Church. She loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise Porter, Sr.; one son, Randy C. McNeal; one brother, James Porter, Jr. and grandparents, Freeman and Mary Houston Abner.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters: Elizabeth Solomon (Edward), of Palmetto, FL; Rose Mary Douglas (Jeffery), of Bradenton, FL and Angela D'Amour (Verna), of Bradenton, FL.; four sons: Min. Charles McNeal, Jr. (Lydia) of Bradenton, FL; Jimmie McNeal Sr. (Carolyn) of Sarasota, FL; Rickey McNeal of Bradenton; John McNeal of St. Petersburg. Adopted daughters and son, Kathy and Peter Warrick; Faye Antione; Six brothers: Jimmy Porter, Sr. (Rosa Lee) of Bradenton, FL; Ronald Porter (Viola) of Valdosta, GA; Edward Porter, Sr. (Kathaleen) of Berkley, CA; Ralph Porter (Ruthy) of Bradenton, FL; Larry Porter, Sr. (Elizabeth) of Bradenton, FL and Nathaniel Porter, Sr. of Sarasota, FL; One sister: Delores Henderson, of Dothan, AL; two sisters-in-law: Clydie Mae Collins and Minnie Jones (Eugene); Grandchildren: Hans McNeal, Kanta McNeal, Kiara Douglas, Jeffery Douglas, Jr., Charles E. McNeal, Avery Carter, Critea Clemons McNeal, Latoya Clemons McNeal, Jimmie McNeal, Jr., Marcus McNeal, Antonio D'Amour, Vernikqual D'Amour, Berlange D'Amour, Wanick D'Amour, Jensen D'Amour,, Randy McNeal, Willie McNeal, Brandy McNeal, Gidget Sanders (Jamall); Thirty-three Great Grandchild; two Great-great grandchildren; Special friends: Bernice Williams and Letha Savage; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Visitation will be 4-7PM Friday, December 16. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 17. Both will take place at St. Stephens AME Church, 629 9th Ave E. Bradenton, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Westside FUneral Home (941)722-4960.
