Brenda J. Harvey, of Bradenton, FL, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 2, 2025, surrounded by love and held in God’s grace. She was 81 years old.
Born on February 10, 1944, Brenda dedicated more than 30 years to the students and families of Manatee County as a respected educator. Known for her compassion, patience, and commitment to learning, she touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on her community.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Brenda lived her life guided by Christian principles of kindness, humility, and service. She was a devoted mother and is survived by her child, Kevin P. Harvey, and her treasured granddaughters, Kameron and Kayla, whom she adored. Brenda shared a close and loving relationship with her younger sister, Jean Moreland, whose unwavering support and sisterly bond were a constant source of strength and joy throughout her life. Also, there are countless nieces and nephews, extended-family sons and daughters, and many short and long-time friendships. She was also a caring and supportive mother-in-law and a cherished member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she formed lifelong friendships rooted in sisterhood and service.
To her extended family, she was the thoughtful and dependable advisor who never missed a moment to show love. To her friends, she was loyal, genuine, and deeply valued. Brenda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her sincerity, and her profound devotion to her family.
