Calvin Miller

Calvin “Buck” “Cigar” Miller Sr. was born July 22nd, 1960,  in Miami Florida to the late 

Willie Carl & Lottie Miller. Mr. Miller was a quiet but observant young man growing up he participated in youth football at Sunny Land Park (Miami Florida). As a child Calvin loved his Mickey Mouse ice cream and he was a philomath for school studies especially math. His siblings would all ways seek to him for help with their arithmetic skills and homework. 

In his adult life Calvin met a young lady named Denise Cummings who he would later marry on February 14th, 1981, making her his wife. Calvin and Denise and their (9) children would move to Bradenton Florida in 1992 after the catastrophic damages from Hurricane Andrew. 

Calvin was a hard-working family man who enjoyed fishing and loved music his favorite song was “Dance with My Father” and  Chang is going to come” Calvin also found great pleasure in spending time with his kids and grand and great- grandchildren. 

Calvin leaves behind a beautiful and loving wife Denise Miller of 42 years. Five siblings Thomas Rhymes, Frankie Mae(Dwight Harris) Dorothy Garder-Miller  Patricia and Annie Miller all of Miami FL Six sister-in laws Patricia Beckford, Pearlie Mae Cummings, Ernestine Rogers, Mattlen Wortham, Pamela Simmons. One brother-in-law Andre Cummings (Doris) And one Aunt Ida Griffin. One God Brother John Simmons. 

Proceeds him in death are his children Jerome “Maddball” Miller and Shantrell “Peaches” Miller. And his granddaughter Percia Hall and two grandson Antonio Collins and Kendrick Jackson. 

Children: Shamica Lawrence , Octavious Cummings , LartarshaCummings, Lottie Hanley (Joseph) Calvin Miller, Willie Miller,Pamela Miller, and Roderick Cummings (Enid) Kelvin Johnson and Eugene Johnson. Two God daughters Brandi Williams (Anthony) And Tamara Poiter, and One daughter in law DeniciaMiller, Two God sons  Courtney Harris and Carlos Alvarez

Grandchildren: Tony, Octavious Jr,  Markela , Tonisha , Natavia, Ronise, Mari , Calvin Miller III, Da’Myia, DiaMantia, Craig, Moniyah, Kevin, Willie Jr, Willie, Jerome Jr, Jerniya, Alexis,  Zytavious, Jaquavious, Ronylah,  Dubb, Nylia, Amari, Maleeq, Antonio (Mank) Antwan (Fish) Shantrell (Peaches) Roderick Jr, Zuri, Lonnie, Journey, Kaden, Payton, Journey, Knowledge (Acie) Cali.

Special Friends: Arther Lee, Russel Mcneil, Vincent Mays, Andre Mays, and his partner in crime Pearlie Mae. Special Cousin Vincent Moss and Craig.  A host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews’ family and friends!

 Visitation is 6PM-8PM March 31, 2023 at Community Outreach Church 650 27th St E Bradenton, FL. Services are 12PM Saturday April 1, 2023 at 13th Avenue Dream Center 922 24th St E Bradenton, FL. Condolences may be given at www.west-sidefh.com
