Cornelius Marcus Williams a native of Manatee County, was born on June 19,
1959, to the late Curtis Williams and Vera Mae Williams.
Cornelius confessed Christ and became a member of St. John First Baptist Institutional Church. He was baptized by Pastor William Leonard II on September 17, 2023.
He transitioned on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Blake Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Williams.
Cornelius was educated in the Manatee County school system, attending SE High School and graduating in 1977. He was a phenomenal sportsman and loved playing football and running track. His hobbies were watching sports on and off the field and spending quality time with his family, especially his brother, Christopher. Cornelius was a former worker of Tropicana.
He leaves to mourn his death: mother, Vera Mae Williams; sister, Melinda Williams; and brother, Christopher Williams, all of Bradenton; loving and caring aunts, Dorothy Epps, Mae Etta Gross of Palmetto, Fannie (Harold) Bryant of CA, and Rosetta Hudson of GA; special friends, Katie Williams, and Darrell Woodie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm on Friday, February 9, 2024 @ Westside Funeral Home 204 7th St W., Palmetto, Fla 34221. Celebration of Life will be held 11am on Saturday, February 10, 2024 @ St John First Baptist Institutional Church 1107 29th St E., Palmetto, Fla 34221.
