Cynthia Y. Bynum, 69, passed away on November 29, 2025. Born on September 2, 1956, Cynthia carried from an early age a quiet strength, deep compassion, and a generous heart that touched everyone around her. After graduating from Manatee High School, she devoted her life to caring for others as a CNA, offering comfort, dignity, and patience to people in their most vulnerable moments. Her work reflected the kindness and integrity that defined her.
Above all else, Cynthia’s heart belonged to her family. Being a grandmother was her greatest joy and the role she embraced most fully. She loved fiercely, supported unconditionally, and created a warmth that brought people together. Her presence was steady, grounding, and full of love, leaving lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cynthia is survived by her devoted stepmother, Annie Ruth Nelson; her daughter, Tamara Thompson; her grandchildren, Eric Foster Jr., Rosbie Thompson, Deoni Cason, and Benae Cason; her great grandson, Eric Foster III; and her siblings, Thomas Nelson III (Janet), Gregory Nelson (Tracy), Tangela Morse, Lisa Benjamin, Alphonso Yarn, Kent Yarn, and Johnnie Yarn, along with many other family members who will carry her memory forward with love.
Those who knew her will remember her unwavering care, her quiet strength, and the way she loved without hesitation. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the hearts she touched, and the family she held so close.
