Mother Deborah Ann Carswell Shinholster was born on June 25, 1956 to the parentage of Mrs. Catherine Carswell(Late Robert) Nesbitt and Mr. Robert Mallory in Irwinton, Ga.

On July 31, 1976 she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Eddie Lee Shinholster, Jr. This union blessed the couple with three men.

At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined the Calvary Hill Baptist Church where she served until moving to Florida. She then became a faithful member of the Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, where she served until her last breath. She then became the Mother of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.

Her hobbies included spending time with family, shopping, cooking, and baking. Mother Shinholster’s warm kind spirit touched the lives of numerous people; young and old. Just a few of the many ways she showed her unconditional love and thoughtfulness was by daily text messages and sending greeting cards for nearly every holiday and special occasion; she rarely missed an opportunity to brighten someone's day. Family and friends looked forward to receiving their texts and cards, which often contained heartfelt messages, warm wishes, and reminders that they were remembered and cared for. This simple but meaningful tradition reflected her generous spirit and her commitment to staying connected with the people she loved..

She was employed by the Tropicana Brands Group in Bradenton, FL.

Deborah entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 30, 2026. She is preceded in death by her fathers, Robert Mallory and Robert Nesbitt, siblings Sandra Mallory and Angela Mallory. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband, Eddie Lee Shinholster, Jr. 3 Sons: Arreco(Felicia) Carswell of Macon, GA, Trelain Shinholster, and Carrissian Shinholster, both of Bradenton, FL. Grandchildren: Keashara Carswell, Jerrick Carswell, and Kelton Carswell, all of Milledgeville, GA. Mother: Mrs. Catherine Carswell Nesbitt of Irwinton, Ga. Her sisters: Robbie(Wayne) Burney of Irwinton, Ga., Georgia(Carlton) Freeman and Tamara Wright, both of Milledgeville, Ga. Brothers: Richard(Bernice)Nesbitt of Milledgeville, Ga.,Marvin(LaCondra)Nesbitt, Sr. of Jeffersonville,Kirk(Phyllis) Mallory of Milledgeville, Ga., Thomas Austin and Greg Austin; both of McIntyre,Ga; Devoted Aunt and Uncle: Anna(Walker)Juhan and Walter(Nina)Carswell both of Irwinton, Ga. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
