George Arthur Miller, fondly known as Ricky, was born on June 25th, 1951, to the late Oscar Miller and the lateRossie Yawn, in Palmetto, Fl. He was a lifelong res ident of Palmetto and Bradenton, where he attended Manatee County Public schools. After graduating from Manatee High in 1970, he later attended Manatee Community College. He worked for many years at Tropicana and Manatee Head Start, before owning his own lawncare service. He was converted at an early age and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior.
Ricky loved his community and always tried to provide a source of friendship and unity to all in which he came in contact. He was loved by many, he never met a stranger, and if he did, they instantly fell in love with him too, and he was known for his keen sense of style. He was a fun spirited soul, had a bright, beautiful smile and a laugh that would light up the up the room. He loved to dance in his younger dance with his classmates and Cousin Booster, spend time with family, especially his grandchildren, and friends. He enjoyed watching football, especially his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys and hanging with his life-long friend and brother, Alex Dunlap. He loved his family and friends and took great joy and pride in being agrandfather.
God, in his infinite and divine wisdom, saw it fit to ease his pain and called him home to be with him and his loved ones that had gone on before him. Having answered God’s call at that hour, he peacefully departed this life on November 6th, 2024.
