Gerald Lee Williams was born on September 23, 1956, in Bradenton, FL, to Calvin R. Williams and Bernice Williams. On February 9, 2025, he departed this earth, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love.
Gerald attended Manatee High School, where he played football and graduated with the class of 1974. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Though his military career was brief, he returned to Bradenton, where he pursued his passion for working on cars, always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. Known for his laid-back demeanor and generous spirit, Gerald was one of the coolest people you could ever meet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin R. Williams and Bernice Williams; his daughter, Kimberly Mitchell; his brother, Calvin Williams Jr.; and his sisters, Mae Lois Mitchell and Carolyn Eutsey.
Gerald leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory: his seven children, Alexis Williams, Gerald Williams Jr., and TronWilliams ("Bo"), of Bradenton, FL, Jason Austin, of Sarasota, FL, Quentin Williams and Jousha Williams of Rochester, NY; three sisters, Berda Mae Goff of Rochester NY, LindaWashington, and Delores Mack of Bradenton, FL ; one brother, Clarence Williams (Theresa) of Rochester, NY; one brother in law Lewis Eutsey of Bradenton, FL as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A special friends Mike Blalock of Bradenton, FL and Ricky Gissendanner (Black).
Gerald will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
