Grant Yancey Gass, affectionately known as “Biggie”, passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 40, after bravely battling illness for seven years.
He was a beloved son, husband, stepfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His legacy of kindness, resilience,and selflessness will continue to inspire those whose lives he’s touched.
Grant was preceded in death by his mother, Robin; older sister Nikki, and grandparents Lucille and Amos Gass, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Marcela Castillo, stepchildren; Oscar, Maria, Lizet, and Marcela, Il; as well as cherished friends, Justin and Anthony. Grant also leaves behind his father, James Gass, Sr.; brothers, James, Jr., and Eric; sisters, Olivia, Alexandra, Mara (Je. V), and Gloria, along with many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, and friends.
