Hattie L. Johnson was born January 22, 1962, to the late Robbie and Mary Jenkins. She died on November 18, 2024. She was the eighth child of eleven children.
She was a 1980 graduate of Estill High School in Estill, South Carolina. After high school she worked several jobs in food service and hospitality services.
She accepted Christ at an early age in Estill, South Carolina.
She moved to Manatee County in 1991 and she continued her career in the food service profession for 25 years until her health wouldn’t allow her to continue working.
She married Samuel Johnson, Jr., on June 8, 2013, and enjoyed many wonderful years with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry Jenkins, George Jenkins, Willie Jenkins, and Robert Jenkins; and sisters, Rosemary Orr, Annie Warren, and Mattie Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: a loving husband, Samuel Johnson, Jr.; daughters, Yolonda Hill of Newark, New Jersey, Shawna Morgan of Bradenton, Florida, and Shaznequia Davis (Mark) of Bradenton, Florida; stepson, Quincy Sanders (Rachel) of Kileen, Texas; eight grandsons, Nehemiah Roberson, Mark Taylor, Claudy Marcdonis, Caliph Marcdonis, Cayden Marcdonis, Dean Sanders, Quincy K. Sanders, Quincy T. Sanders; granddaughters, Samiah Morgan, Jazmynne Goddard, Zaviah Goddard, Jaecon Hill, Markia Taylor, Anntwanette Williams; two great- grandchildren, Ka’Hiree Morgan, Jay’Lahn Morgan; one brother, Johnny Hill (Carolyn); three sisters, Mary Thomas, Beatrice Graydon, Kathy Gregley (Jerry); one brother-in-law, Stacey Dawsey; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Rumph (Rubin) and Essie Dawsey; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins,and friends.
