Hildus Dawes, Jr. was born July 17, 1967 to the late Hildus Dawes, Sr. and Marian Dawes.
He graduated from Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida. He was employed by Tropicana Products for a number of years as a forklift driver and received the nickname of "Mr. Tropicana" by some of his friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hildus Dawes, Sr. His paternal grandparents, Dave Foley Dawes and Emma Line Dawes. His maternal grandparents, Alfred (Loggie) Lee Washington and Virginia Johnson. His paternal aunts, Emma Jean Hagan Hall, Cora L. Brutus, Paternal uncles, Sanford L Dawes, Johnny Clyde Dawes and Bobby D. Dawes.
"Dee" as everyone called him had many friends and associates. He enjoyed entertaining, laughing and especially barbecuing for anyone that wanted to drop by. He enjoyed hosting seafood and crab parties for friends and family. He had six beautiful children and loved and cherished all of them.
He leaves behind to cherish sweet, happy memories his mother, Marian Nelson, six children, Teaera, Drayshaun, Tiona, Hildus III, Zaria and Deon; one granddaughter, Lanyia; two brothers, Patrick D. Dawes and Dave Samuel Dawes (Tangela); two sisters, Katreese E. Dawes, and Jennifer Glenn; one paternal aunt, his BELOVED Aunt/Sister (Mae Bell Grabill); four maternal aunts, Evelyn Walker, Brenda Brown, Allison Ward, and Alisa Washington, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends
