Obituary:
Janice White Dixon was born on May 12, 1955 in Turkey, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Phillip White Jr and Aileene White
She was proceeded in death by her stepfather, Leonard Fields.
Janice attended Manatee County Schools. After graduation from Manatee High School, she attended Manatee Junior College, where she successfully earned three degrees in business administration, criminology and early childhood education.
Janice retired after thirty years of combined service to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Manatee County Juvenile Detention Center, and the Manatee County Community Service Department to focus on her health.
She was also a member of both FWG Inc and the Greater Manatee Chapter.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior in her early adult life and became a devoted member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church.
On August 31, 2024, with family by her side, God called Janice from her earthly home to her heavenly home.
To mourn her passing are many loving relatives and friends. Including a daughter, Tekeysha Moore, of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Darrell and Michael Jackson, both of Bradenton, Florida; two brothers, Leonard Fields, of Spartanburg, SC and James Mathis, of Kenansville, NC; six sisters, Paulette Camel, Janice Lovett-Williams and Joyce Lovett, all of Bradenton, FL, Sawara Mathis and Mavis Smith, both of Warsaw, NC, Adriana Wells (Harvey), of Roseboro, NC; nine grandchildren, Brooke Moore, Sky Watters and Kerrington Moore, all of Atlanta, Ga, Patrick Dawes Jr, De’Angelo Dawes, David Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Nivea Jackson and Renee Jackson, all of Bradenton, FL; two great grandchildren, Patrick Dawes III and Zyon Dawes, both of Bradenton, FL; a special, devoted friend, Darrell Jackson Sr., a host of nieces nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
