Jewell S. Walker Obituary

 Graduated: Southeast High School, 1976

She set out to be a nurse and got accepted at Morris Brown College, but she didn’t want to leave her true love behind, Elijah Walker, Sr. She pursued culinary arts and worked at a retirement home as a dietary supervisor over the kitchen and retired in December of 2023 after serving her community for 30 years. She continued to return to the job, teaching Bible study every other Friday.

She was saved on May 6, 2006. All the way up until her last breath, she served the Lord.

She leaves behind: her devoted husband, Elijah Walker, Sr., to whom she had been married for 46 years. She leaves behind four children, Elijah Jr. (Lacey), Elisha, Jantzen (Ganae), and Janisha (Chauncey); three grandchildren, Elijah III, Isabella, and Jantzen Walker, Jr.; one brother, Dwayne Spearman (Vasts); two sisters, Bernitha Law and Dorren Laws; and her church family who she adored.
