Joseph Evans III Obituary

Joseph Daniel Evans III was preceded in death by his son, Reggie Rashard Mabry (Tonya) and his mother, Margie L. Jones.  He is survived by his father, Joseph Daniel Evans Jr.

Born in Bradenton, Florida, on October 26, 1964, Joseph lived in Palmetto and was raised in a close Tampa, Florida, community called Progress Village. Joseph, known by all his family and friends as “Jo Jo,” was a fun-loving, straight talking and family-oriented man with a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His mother and father raised him to know and respect God’s power and mercy. Joseph’s display of his faith and knowledge through humor touched all who knew him.  He frequently used wit and humor to uplift, encourage, and support his family and friends and deal with life’s challenges…Joseph never failed to make someone smile or laugh.

His Soul was much too beautiful to mourn, and his Story too fantastic to be sad. Joseph has left us wonderful memories of a loving son, an amazing friend, and a supportive brother.

MANY who met Joseph revered him as a brother…He exemplified “BIG brother” and was loved by everyone who came to know him. Joseph’s personality and heart-led acts impacted many lives and always offered a sense of comfort to the family.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his dedicated, loving, and supportive father, Joseph D. Evans Jr., loving sisters, Jacqueline C. Rhone (Tony) and LaShawn Palmer, and brothers, Robert Johnson Jr. (DeRinda), Enoch R. Jones (Tonetta), Deatrick Jones, Jonny Johnson, Jason Evans, Rev. Glenn Evans (Renee), and Kurt Evans (Alonso). Joseph will be forever remembered by countless individuals that he touched deeply and who loved him, including uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, dear friends, and a special family, the Copelands of Progress Village, Tampa, Florida.
