Josephine Brooks was born on May 13, 1956, in Quincy, FL, to the late Comer Brascomb, Sr., and
Minnie Lee Brascomb. To this marriage, she was an only child. She graduated from Shanks High School.
Soon after, she moved to Palmetto, FL, with her mother, Minnie Lee. She met her husband, Rudolph
Brooks, in 1984, and they dated for years until they were married in 1995.
Precious Memories
They had been together for 41 years until God called her home, where she now will be joined back with
her mother, Minnie Lee Brascomb. She worked at Blake Memorial Hospital as dietary manager for 15
years. She joined Pentecostal of Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop David L. Belvin, Sr. She had
a very beautiful spirit and served as a faithful member until she had to become a full-time caretaker for
her ill mother, Minnie. During her time of caring for her mother, Josephine became very ill herself, but
through her strong faith in God, Josephine had strong determination and strive where she continued her
care for her mother until God called her mother, Minnie, home. Shortly after, Josephine’s own illness
overtook her body.
