Laura Blake was born on March 22, 1937, in Apopka, Florida to the late Felton Dixon, Sr. and Viola Robinson-Sills. She attended school in the Orange County School System and was a faithful member of her church, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and community.
On September 27, 2025, Laura peacefully entered eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felton Dixon, Sr. and Viola Robinson-Sills, her beloved daughter Gloria Hill, and her siblings: Alfonso Dixon, Otis Sills, Jr. (Uncle Boochie), Felton Dixon, Jr. (Uncle Po-Man), John Dixon, Jimmy Dixon, Rosa Sills Dickens, and Catherine McGarvin.
Laura's favorite color was purple, which reflected her graceful, spiritual, and royal spirit.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Andrew Blake; her beloved grandchildren, Ronnie Rahymes, Zynthia Rahymes, Omeka Rahymes (Fenel Aladin), and Cleveland Rahymes, Jr. (Adreana Rahymes), LaRonda Hamilton (David Hamilton); and her extended sons and daughters. She will also be remembered by a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Her life, her faith, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
