Trial Deaconess Loretha Nash was born in Manatee County, Flori- da. She was the third of four children born to the late Mary Gibson and Harry Singleton on August 31, 1929.
She was educated in the Public Schools of Manatee County and was gainfully employed by Manatee County Schools as a Lunchroom Manager at James Tillman Elementary School in Palmetto for many years until she retired. She was known as an outstanding cook. She loved and enjoyed her work and was loved and respected by many. She was a loyal, cooperative and obedient member who knew how to love.
Trial Deaconess Nash was converted at an early age and was a member of The House of God Church under the pastoral leadership of Presiding Elder Theodore Tillis.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Herbert Nash, her beloved sisters Lucretia Tyson, Janie Young and Annie Nettles and granddaughter, Belinda Nash.
Trial Deaconess Nash leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Ru- dolph P. Tyson Sr. (Paulette), Alexandria, VA and Garfield Nash Sr. (Martha), Parrish, FL; two daughters, Larner Singleton-Joyner (Dale), Palmetto, FL and Abigale Small (James), Bristow, VA. She truly loved her entire family, but she had special feelings and con- cern for her great grandson Brandon Nash, who was right at her side until the end. May God forever bless and keep him for his love and devotion to his grandmother! Also, she was blessed with two god-daughters: Viola Holmes (Charles) of Palmetto, FL, Trinity Pe- layo (Julio) of Parrish, FL and Tiera Searles of Palmetto, FL, and one god-son, Reginald Bellamy of Palmetto, FL; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a very special friend, Deaconess Dr. Mary L. Tillis, a loving caregiver, Cathy Trodder and a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing friends.
