Our beloved mother, Mabel Williams Byrd, was born on October 27, 1958, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Samuel Williams and Gwendolyn Elizabeth Williams. She was united in marriage to the late Rev. Dennis Byrd Jr. and attended Plant City High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ and faithfully served as a devoted member of St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher.

Mabel was known for her loving and caring spirit. She found joy in caring for others, cooking for family and friends, and writing poems, songs, and plays. She always put others before herself and deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and family. Throughout her life, she worked as a dietary manager, area manager for Checkers, and substitute teacher. Her kindness, faith, and dedication to others will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
