Patricia was born June 9, 1957, in Bradenton, Florida. She transitioned on April 10, 2026, at Tampa General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten.
Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Deacon Clarence and Sister Ola Mae Sims of Parrish Florida. They instilled in her strong values, love, and resilience. Patricia attended Memorial Elementary, which was later renamed Parrish Elementary, in Parrish, Florida. She graduated from Palmetto High School in 1975. She went on to pursue her education and received her LPN from Manatee Vocational School in Bradenton, Florida.
Patricia was a faithful member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church. She was baptized in 1969 by Reverend G.W. Jones. She was extremely devoted and served under the leadership of the late Reverend G.W. Jones, the late Reverend R.R. Russ, the late Reverend Mose Newsome, Reverend Donnie James, Reverend J.B. Garris, the late Reverend Dr. Fletcher Lawson, Jr., and Reverend Ricky Stephens. Leading a faith filled life, she was a part of the youth and children choir, church cook, Sunday school superintendent, senior mission and senior choir. She thoughtfully orchestrated Mother’s Day presentations and led remembrance celebrations hosting The Ola Mae Sims day in the park festivities.
