Shirley Jenkins, 77 years, of Palmetto, FL, was born in Lake City, FL, on May 14, 1948, to the late Robert Jenkins and Lola Etta Perry Jenkins.
She attended school in Tampa, FL, and Manatee County, graduating from Lincoln Memorial High School in 1966.
Shirley worked many years for Anderson Window Company in Bradenton, FL, as a line supervisor.
Shirley loved her family and enjoyed sewing. She was a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Organization.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Etta Jenkins; only daughter, LaKeeva Craddock Peterson; sister, Katie McKeever; and brother, Freddick Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories and to carry on her legacy: her granddaughters, Erin Carnes, Alis Peterson, and Kenya Pinkney; sisters, Patricia Shannon, Lollie Mae Jenkins-Liverpool, and Joyce Ann Jenkins McNeil; brothers, Robert Jenkins, Jr., and Marion Jenkins; and a host of great-grands, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A special thanks to sister, Patricia Shannon, and faithful cousin, Bettye Holmes Presha, caretaker, Flora Killings, and special friends, Viola Archie Holmes and Birdie Brinson.
