Brother William Lee Greene (Red) was born on May 7, 1939 to the late Lois Mae McCray in Palmetto, Florida.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Palmetto, Florida, under the leadership of Rev. E. W. Carey.
On Friday November 8, 2024, Brother William Lee Greene departed this life.
In 1963 he joined the United States Army and is a retired Vietnam Veteran after serving 23 years. After retiring from the US Army he served as a Correction Officer in the state of Texas.
Upon relocating to Palmetto, Florida. William joined and served until his failing health at Bible Baptist Church of Palmetto FL under the leadership of Pastor Sirrnest T. Webster.
William Greene was proceeded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Greene.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his sister Jean Arthur Hillary, Palmetto FL, Julia Carley, Bradenton FL. Daughter Monique Greene Tunstall of Laurinburg NC, Sister-in-law Martha Lee Harrington, Laurinburg, NC. and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
