Willie Haynes, Jr. was born, December 22, 1946 to Susie Mae Carley and Willie Haynes, Sr. of Palmetto, FL.
He attended the schools of Manatee County and graduated from Lincoln Memorial High School in 1964. He was one of the smartest and well known students in school. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1965-1969.
Willie returned to Bradenton in 1969. He purchased his first house and started working for the United States Postal Service for 22 years.
He was a father of two daughters, Tanya Harewood (Cynthia) (Efron) 1968; Kawanda Haynes (Sandra) 1979).
After leaving the post office, he dedicated his life taking care of his mother and he was a pilar in the community, honoring his father wishes of becoming a well respected and a honest family man.
Willie was a member of St. John First Baptist Institutional Church in Palmetto, FL.
He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Tanya and Kawanda; Cousin, Shevin Brown; 6 grandchildren: Shaunte Hare- wood, Joshua Harewood, Jamaule Harewood, Christopher Titus, Zykira Haynes, Kanayah Owens; 5 great grandchildren, Zy’mari Baker, Lamar Kelley, Jr., Montay Baker, Joshua Harewood, Jr., Sergio Betanco; a host of loving friends and other relatives.
