Willie Lee Barton, III, age 39, was born on May 6, 1986, to the late Willie Lee Barton II and Stacey L. Bellamy-Lewis. He was the oldest of three
children and a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and grandson. Brother Barton accepted Christ at an early age under the pastorage of Dr. G. I.
Bradley.
Willie was a proud product of Manatee County. Like most of his male family members, he spent a lot of time at the Palmetto Boys Club during
his youth. Willie was educated in the Manatee County School System. His educational journey began at James Tillman, Lincoln Middle and
The Manatee High School. During his high school years, he followed his family’s legacy by playing football, just as his father, uncles, grandfather, and great-uncle did. After graduating from high school in 2004, Willie attended Eastern Carolina, and Georgia Military College, from where he graduated. He later returned to Palmetto, where he began his career as a sales associate in the furniture business. He held Sales associate positions at Badcock, Ashley Furniture and City Furniture. Although Willie was a dedicated sales associate, the best position he ever held was being a father to his son, Javon.
Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie L. Barton, Jr.; his maternal grandfather, Leroy Bellamy, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, Louise and Lester Benton; paternal grandparents,
Gregory and Theresa Lang, uncle Lashay Bellamy, and cousin Leroy (LB) Bellamy III.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother Stacey (Bernard); his son, Javon; brothers, Christopher Barton and Karel Bellamy-Doss (Harli); sister, Whitney Barton; grandparents,
Lucinda Bellamy-Paige (Nolan) and Willie L. Barton, Sr.; special aunt, June Gainey; mother of his son, Michelle Berrier; special friends, Debron Baptist, Tatra Carmichael, Treon Duval, K. C.
Craddock, Gabriel Lowery, and Curtis and Kurtis Leaks.
Willie had many friends and was loved by so many that it is impossible to list them all. He leaves a
host of other loving and sorrowful family and friends.
